Pros

BlueHost is one of my favorite all around web hosting provider’s. I’ve used and recommended them to clients looking for web hosting since 2007 and have never had a problem of any kind.

Their uptime and server speed is exceptional. they have a very easy to use cPanel control panel that features the Fantastico open source web applications, easy to set up mail accounts and web stats, support for IMAP and secure Email, Unlimited domains and both dedicated SSL and shared SSL for secure online orders and online stores. I’ve worked with their technical support on 4 or 5 occasions and they’ve always helpful and Knowledgeable, resolving any issues.

Cons

I have on occasion run into problems being able to host PHP files that require 777 (read write execute) attributes and on one occasion had to move a client to Host Gator in order to use their maiing list manager sofware. This was an isolated incident and it was a security issue on their end. As it turned out we ended up dumping the software and moving the client to Madmimi for their mailing list shortly aftwards.

NOTE TO RESELLER HOSTERS:

Bluehost was my first choice to move clients to in 2006 when I grew too large for my then current reseller web hosting service, unfortunately they don’t offer a reseller hosting program.
